How often do we take for granted the precious gift of life? How often do we sit and thank God for giving us this life? What is life without God?
The world we currently live in is a roller coaster with so many emotions and worldly pleasure that we forget the essence of life. We get so engrossed in our daily chores of life that we forget God has given us life and that to life in abundance. (John 10:10).
It is so beautiful that this gift of life is not merely an accident or mistake but it has been planned, and that too not by any human, it has been planned by the maker of heaven and earth. The Lord says to us –
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
Jeremiah 1:5
Even when we as mere people don’t plan to give life to a new being God miraculously brings forth new life to us. Truly how amazing is the wonders of our God. A sense of realisation dawned on me as I witnessed someone very close and dear to me give birth to a baby. The entire journey of those nine precious months were truly priceless not only for the mother but for the people around her too.
In this journey, I noticed Christ’s manifestation in each and everyone around the mother during this journey. Every day of these nine months we prayed, we hoped and we had faith for the child in her womb that was to come.
Time flew by and it was the day that the Lord had made for this precious baby to come into this world. With anxious hearts not knowing what was to come she went forth for her delivery. Those 24 hours of labour pain only a mother truly knows and people around her witness it. In the midst of all
this the Lord gives strength to the mother in labour yet again saying –
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
Even though the pain of child birth cannot be comprehended for ones who have not experience it, the living word of God says –
Whenever a woman is in labour she has pain, but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.
John 16:21
Truly what was written in the scriptures did come to pass. And the baby was born into the world, such a precious moment where –
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love Him
1 Corinthian 2:9
A beautiful baby girl was born to us. Through this precious little baby’s life our Lord gave us immense hope, love, peace, joy and gave us above all a new light of faith.
This whole journey of giving birth to a new life changed my entire perspective about Gods creation and life. Our God is simply marvelous beyond any words we can even comprehend.
It is in this time, where we really can sit back and reflect on our life. We the people of God are created in His own image, in the image of God he created us, male and female. He created us all.
You too, yes you who are reading this He created you and you are precious to Him. We may face many challenges and trials in life, however that should not make us forget that this life has been gifted to us by God our creator. Let us rejoice and be glad for the Lord has given us this new day, this new life.
You may have gone through a lot of things in this journey of life and might have forgotten God or your faith maybe wavering because of circumstances. But I tell you my friends –
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
2 Corinthians 5:17
Believe in Christ Jesus because this life is given to you by Him.
This life will indeed throw ups and downs, but we as Children of our Lord and Saviour have hope in the resurrection. Hope in Christ Jesus to live each day of our life surrendering it to Him. Let us understand the purpose of God in our life. May our actions and words speak of His glory.
