Many people are facing challenges and are struggling all around the world in this time of uncertainty. Be it young children, adults or elderly people everyone in all age categories are in the same state of mind. Young children who do not understand the situation are scared about what is happening. Adults on the other hand have greater challenges and fears about their home, kids, finances, parents and jobs. What then happens when everyone is in the same state of mind? What is the result of fear and anxiety?
In moments like these have you thought of the by-product of fear. Is there much more than just being in this state of mind. The good news for us who believe in Christ Jesus is with fear comes faith and hope as it is written in His word, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)
As humans, we want a miracle to happen overnight without any faith. However, as believers in Christ Jesus we need to have little faith for a miracle to happen as the Lord tells us, “Because you have so little faith. Truly, I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20) Is this not enough assurance that God is with you and no darkness will befall you? Our Lord makes the impossible possible because He is our true living God.
There is power, supernatural power if we have faith. Even in this time let the Virus around not shake our faith. Our faith is our strong hold in times like this. We need to come together in faith as the Body of Christ i.e. His Church. We need to instil faith to our near and dear ones. Let our children know that fear has no room in their life in Christ Jesus “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
As believers, do not fear is my message to all of you who are worried about this virus, your kids, family and finances or whatsoever is troubling you and causing fear. I pray that the Precious Blood of Jesus wash this fear that is in you.
We have hope and faith in the Resurrection. Christ rising from the dead and dispelling the darkness of our heart and minds is a reminder that Faith is greater than fear.
As we have all witnessed the resurrection of our Lord let us keep our gaze on the living God, who was and is and is to come. We as Christians are the resurrection people. Stay Blessed and walk by faith.
Lastly, I want you to ponder over this verse which Jesus said to Martha:
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”John 11:25-26
